Nasir Johnson, a young man haunted by his past and torn between street life and fatherhood, just wants a normal life with his son and new fiancee. And just when it seems his dreams could come true, reality enters, in the form of his vindictive baby momma, who has teamed up with his own mother to regain the custody rights she so freely relinquished years ago. And he's being hounded by a stalker who threatens to deal the final blow to his dreams of a new life.
The book picks up the life of Marvin "Nasir" Bundy, Jr. Nasir's life is upside down with the drama from Nakea, the mother of his son and his present girlfriend, Farren. The story begins with Nakea trying to cause havoc in Nasir's relationship with Farren, and his mother doesn't have a problem with it. Farren really loves Nasir and just wants him to do right by her. Nakea feels as though she has been used and her sister reinforces these thoughts. Nasir is trying to get his life together by getting a job at a local school, but drama comes with keeping the job. Sean, Nakea's new boyfriend is very jealous of Nasir and will do every and anything to get him. Will Nasir ever get everything right or will the sins of his past come back to haunt him. The story is basically about seeking revenge and what call each of them in the process. I really enjoyed Kashamba's latest creation. This is one of the best books of 2006. Kashamba did the damn thing.
Oh so so good.

All young men who think with their [...] needs to read Driven and part two, At the Courts Mercy. This was so good, but it ended so sad. This book opened my eyes to what women who truly love a man will and can go through. Loretta, Nasir's mother is evil and bbitter, she needs to be in a psy ward. Nakeia, Nasir's baby mother is so stupid and childish, yet she lets her boyfriend Sean beat on her and talk down on her baby. Sonya a girl Nasir had sex with is so stupid but will stoop so low. The question is does she have or will she have a baby by Nasir? Farren needs to let Nasir go, she can do so much better. I can't let all the juice out read this.
EXCELLENT

Nasir was my boy. He just didn't have his priorities straight. He would have made a great father and he would have been a great leader to the boys he mentoring, but he couldn't keep his hand out of the game. He should have just left the women alone even Fallon.
Oooohhh...mercy , mercy me!

"At The court's Mercy" was good! There was so much drama in this book it didn't make no sense! There was baby mama drama, jealousy, revenge, deadly snakes, crazy boyfriends, beatdowns, court cases, families in turmoil, crackheads, sex and sadly a few deaths. I finished this book in 2 days it's easy to read and will keep you hooked. Kashamba outdid herself on this one!
You did it again!!!

Kashamba what can I say? You did it again with the sequel to Driven. At the courts mercy revisits Nasir, his family, Nakea his baby mama, Farren his girlfriend and you find out who the jump off really is. I was on the edge of my seat while reading At the court's mercy. Kashamba shows how one person or situation can affect so many people. Nasir is the center piece of the book and everyone lives and actions revolve around him. It explores the situation of trying to get your life together and there's nothing, but chaos around you. Babymama drama, lies, deception from friends and family. Get ready because Court is in session!!!! Kashamba I see you girl!!!
