Assembled between the publication of Charles Sorley's Ghost and the early stages of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, these poems, notes and stories represent a sort of thanatopsis as I pass into my 70's. I realize that age and wisdom are not co-dependent, nor do we automatically achieve one when we reach the other. Still, Death and dealing with mortality are two subjects that dominate human thought and therefore I have many thoughts on both matters, which I share with you here. Containing a bit of everything from commentary on Covid-19 to fan fiction for Doctor Who, this collection is a veritable walk among the tombstones. May we all find comfort in knowing that we are not alone in our thoughts, our fears, our hopes, and even our humor. I think of this as a companion in poetry and prose to my prose collection, Infrequent Flier.
