Hurricane Ivan, which devastated Grenada on the 7th of September 2004. People's homes were totally destroyed and their lives had changed in a matter of a few hours. There was no water, little food, no electricity. In a matter of months, Richardo Keens-Douglas created a two-act play with 15 songs, which made its debut in Grenada to an appreciative audience.'Grenada came out to see Ay Ya Yai Ivan.
