Ever get the feeling that you may have overhyped a situation? Like you poured an inordinate amount of time and energy into something because you thought it was going to be the truth. But then later, you were like, oh I see, that's not the truth. Don't get me wrong; I believe that the tradition presented in this book could be a key weapon in the fight to mitigate catastrophic climate change. Not because it gets to carbon emissions, but because it gets to the need for humanity to see itself as a single organism. However, the chances that large numbers of people will incorporate this tradition into their already busy schedules are slim to none. It is far more likely that I've just gassed this whole thing up. So, while I feel called to make this spark, because I think humanity needs to catch a fire somehow, there's no need to rsvp.
