A very special puddle sets Violet the mouse off on her latest nature discovery. It is through this puddle that Violet observes the effect rain has on the world around her. A Mylar puddle on the last page offers children a chance to see their reflection in a puddle, just like Violet!
Fun book and easy to read, follow and show the story

I like this book because when it says that Violet is looking at rain, you can see and show the rain. The pictures are clean and easy to understand and go perfectly with the text I'm reading on the page. The pictures are cute and the story is just long enough for our bed time story.
Babies love Violet
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
For reasons unknown to us, our baby loves Violet. We started reading to the baby when she was around 3 months old. She could barely see the book, much less all the critters in it, but our baby grew up loving books and we owe it to Violet. She is now into the birdies, cats and dogs, the park and the leaves and teh sun. Baby still needs to figure out the puddles, but she is working on it. Some books may seem better than others to grown-ups, but Violet is the baby's favorite. She has grown with the book, she sees different things as her interests change, she loves the photos in the end and plays peekaboo in the puddle mirror. I know that parents make books more than books make parents, but Violet is a great help when it is time to sleep and daddy reads Raindrops and Puddles, day after day, baby flipping through the pages and learning to be a future reader.
