The illustrations in this book are absolutely precious - I was thrilled to find it, since it's been sung in our family for at least 3 generations.

If anyone needs to know the melody to Baby's Boat a Silver Moon, I know the melody and have been singing it to my chldren and grandchildren for over 40 years. I did not know that a book existed. My daughter received this book from her grandma, who growing up remembers her mom singing it. But she now can't remember the tune. (I agree with the previous reviewer in that the music score should have been included with the book.)We read it over & over & over...and I hardly get tired of it. The book has a wonderful appeal to it & the pictures are soothing & calm. The print on the opposite pages are bold & easy to read.

My son is eighteen months old and he loves to have this book read to him. The illustrations are soft, yet he is always pointing out the "baby" or the "fishy". The sentences are short, the whole book is short, so it easily captures his attention. It will be one of my favorites long after he has outgrown it.

This book is a delight for the eyes, the illustrations capture the sweetness of a baby's sleep. Our 2 month old even held his gaze on the pictures. This book is an instant favorite in our house.
