One year after the events of Holburn, Gael Drake is playing guitar on a reunion tour for 80s band The Starcreepers. Faced with problems from the start, including faulty amps, a troublesome hand injury, mysterious stage-invaders, and clashes with The Starcreepers' tyrannical frontman, Ash Munroe, Gael expects to be thrown off the tour at any moment. But it turns out this is only the beginning. Events get stranger as the tour rolls on, with supernatural forces and terrible secrets from The Starcreepers' heyday emerging, and Gael losing himself to rock 'n' roll revelry, drink and destruction. After a show in Bristol, he meets up with an old acquaintance that has a terrible secret of their own, and asks for Gael's help in resolving it. Gael must summon all his wits to help his friend, a task that might just end with him being the one who needs saving.
