Abused by her stepfather, distraught by the insensitive fumblings of college jocks, Demi wrapped herself in a cocoon, sad that her dreams of turning the tables on men are limited to coups she executes at bridge tables. Months into the job, her boss asks her to Nantucket to work on books at his beach house. That night, ignoring her pleas, he forces himself on her. Sickened, while he sleeps, searching for party bridge in his computer she discovers an offshore bank account. The Club is a front.

And so begins a tale of double-dealing, Demi charting each step on coups at the bridge table.and all but ends when she finds not only that the tables were turned, but that she could have lost something she always dreamed of finding.
