Journalist Holly Jones tricks her way into the household of Rawle Paxton in order to write a story about him. She is shattered when he announces he knows who she is, and when he stops the article being published and threatens to ruin her unless she marries him.
A breezy read about Holly Jones, feature writer for Opinion magazine under the name of Emerald Green, and Rawle Paxton, talent agent. Because of his aversion to journalists, Holly pretends to be an aquaintance of his brother's and offers to play nanny to his nephew when Rawle takes him to New York. The deception is discovered and Rawle threatens to ruin Holly's career. Rawle proposes marriage in return for access to high profile people and to quash the interview.Rawle is very alpha male, so the book is somewhat dated. But it was a pleasant read.
