Good book for general FE, morning session

It's all what you need to prepare for morning session. Actually, it gives you more difficult problems than in the actual exams in some subjects. But that's good for your practice so that it will not take you much time to solve problems in the actual exam. I didn't take general exam in afternoon session, but this is good for your morning session. If you could review all the subjects (no need to solve many problems as in the book), you will be fine.
Great Source to Prepare for the FE Exam

This book had a mini diagnostic test to help you see what areas you are having problems with. Then it goes into a review of all subjects covered in the test. At the end of the book there is a real 8 hour design test (morning and afternoon questions). Taking this exam helps you prepare for the actual FE test. A great companion with this book would be the FE Exam Reference Manual because it is the only book that you will be allowed to use during the real test. And knowing how to move around the book to find a certain equation or subject will be to your advantage because you will save time.

This was the only book I used to prepare me and pass the FE exam. I chose to use this book because it is cheap and pretty comprehensive. I didn't study every subject but focused on the subjects that pertain to Chemical Engineering. I only found two minor errors in the answers from the practice questions that I tried. The financial section was especially helpful as I had many of these kinds of questions on the exam. The tables and equations given in this book are very similar to the ones given on the exam.

This book gave me a good idea of what to expect on the exam. Though I didn't use it to its full extent, I felt much more prepared after doing some of the practice exams.
More valuable than attending a course

Bought this for my daughter (biomed engr) who only used the short diagnostic test, and then used various sample problems for practice. She had no prblm passing the FE on the 1st time. (Which reinforced my opinion from my own experience some twenty-something years ago. Time is better used doing your own "polishing" of your skills rather than travelling to/fro and sitting in a review session that merely points out what you'll have to go back home to review and practice.)
