While contemplating suicide due to the recent dissolution of his marriage, Guy Morgan discovers something so blatantly out of place that it distracts him just long enough to postpone his self-inflicted demise. A designer bowling ball bag, custom made, lying in the grass. So conspicuous. So desperately random, so as to not seem random at all. After a moment or two of weighing the possibilities of the bag's contents and consequences of sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, Guy opens the bag. What's inside is worse than he could've imagined: a man's severed head. Inexplicably, Guy foregoes all of his natural instincts and common sense and takes the bag with him. Just as Guy's head begins to clear, things start to get weird. The decapitated head regains consciousness. After the initial shock wears off, Guy agrees to help the severed head find himself. Over the next several hours, Guy and his new acquaintance embark on a journey to track down the body parts that have been scattered in various locations, as well as engage in insightful and sometimes bizarre banter ranging from favorite movie quotes, childhood memories, Asian cuisine, organized religion, celebrity impersonators and Greek mythology. During their quest, an unexpected and unusual bond between the two forms as Guy realizes he needs as much help finding himself, if not more, than his dismembered friend.
