This superb reference work provides a newly revised, comprehensive overview of the entertaining world of battery toys. Battery operated robots, animals, people, character toys, banks, monsters, and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a nicely presented, well bound book (like most of the Schiffer books). It's well organized, appears to cover the full range of those battery toys that most interest collectors, contains some useful information. The only draw back is, however, that the photos are not very good quality at all. They are color, but definitely fuzzy and lacking in sharp expression. If you own (for instance) any of the superb Kitahara toy books, you will notice a very distinct difference. It's a pity and I don't understand why such an expensive book should have such lousy reproduction. It is, however, superior to the other battery toy book by Don Hulzman(?), which shows a great collection but has even worse graphics. With better photos, this book would merit five stars. As is, four are generous.
