Alluring, and I'm a sucker...

I find myself taking breaks from professional and critical reading by indulging in more light fare. Once I weeded through the character development in the first half, I was hooked. Although I could find a few discrepancies, Mr. Reasoner's facts and knowledge of the era lay the groundwork for a fine historical setting and an enjoyable novel. I found myself needing to read the next installment.
