Stone Rabbit is in his bathroom trying to get some crud out of his teeth. It isn't exactly his day, but when he pulled up a tile in his bathroom he found something very odd. "You'd think I'd know if there was a bottomless pit of doom in the middle of my bathroom-." He fell in the pit (along with his bottle of barbecue sauce) only to find himself being pursued by many dinosaur-like creatures. Next he plopped into a pool of water only to find even weirder creatures sweeping down from the skies and rising up to the surface of the water looking for their lunch. He escaped into a world of other stone rabbits who worshiped and spoiled him. Unfortunately, he and a little kid who was bugging him ended up in a cage right along with his worshipers. His funky looking captor was nasty, but at least he could speak English. Some melonhead in charge of the slaves wondered who he was. Stone Rabbit's barbecue sauce, which happened to fall into the pit with him, held some sort of fascination for that melonheaded Neanderthal man named Willie. "And with this power, I shall rule all that I see!" He was going to "offer top-quality foods at a low, low price to the common working caveman." Yeah, right, but Stone Rabbit just wanted to get out of there. How would he escape the Neanderthal and those wild creatures?! This is an action packed graphic novel that will leave the reader with a humorous visual experience. This book is very colorful and busy and will capture the attention of any youngster with even a modicum of imagination. A math book may be left behind on the counter, but this one will make its way into the knapsack! The reluctant and/or visual reader will love this one.

The Stone Rabbit, BC Mambo, is a fun filled, new series from Eric Craddock that is sure to keep young readers asking for more. BC Mambo finds the Stone Rabbit amdist a normal day of disasters. Pulling a loose tile off the floor, he time slips to the time of dinosaurs and fights for his life. Sure, he encounters Willie, who wants to run hamburger stands and rule Neanderthal civilization, but that's only part of the fun. The art is fantastic and will appeal to the under 10 age group.
