I am a sub. teacher at an Elementary School I carry this book in my bag of tricks. The children LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Great poems and wonderful illustrations. You must buy this book for your child's liabary. A great gift for a birthday party too. Jack Prelutsky has inspired me deeply.

I started reading to my child when they were a month old. This book caught their attention right away (the rhyming and flow of the words--not pictures, too young). The book has continued to hold their attention as it has a great variety of poems. Wonderful illustrations that were noticed later on. Husband also enjoyed the book and he's a touch critic when it comes to childrens' poetry because he also writes childrens' poetry.

We've been reading Jack Prelutsky books since our now adult daughters were children and love the words and illustrations plus the pictures created in your head. Now we share these with our grandchildren to the delight of all!
