I’m noticing this trend throughout this series. There are areas where the books jump from one scene to the next, but not in a manner that lets the reader know the scene has changed. Rather you go from reading about a character and scene, and then that character is in the middle of another scene with no segue. It’s as if sections are missing to clue the reader into what it is going on. I noticed this issue in the first two books of the series, but figured that the author was still warming up, so to speak. But by the third book, this should not be still happening. It detracts from the story in a big way, and interrupts the flow. It’s getting to the point where I’m contemplating not finishing the story because these jumps are so aggravating.
Anyway, apart from that…the story is interesting. The characters grow on you. This is an interesting twist on the classic Beauty and the Beast story. If the issues with the story flow were fixed, this would be a 5 star story!
