Here's an odd find. The only science fiction i read are older 'Sword & Planet' tales. I stumbled upon this book only because it was next to another of his related titles and published by New Infinities (they published Gary Gygax's novels after TSR). Since it's based on an RPG, i didn't have high hopes. Most RPG novels i've read were pretty generic. But this was a tight, suspenseful read. It reads more like a crime novel than science fiction. Plus at 160 pages, it was very quick paced. The writer's style is very economical and enjoyable. I'll definitely be digging into his other books.
