Beet is gonna beat the odds, and bust those violent Vandels! The New Dark Age It's the Century of Darkness where monsters known as Vandels rule the world, and the Vandel Busters are the only ones who can fight them. When a group of Busters are killed in battle, they pass on their magic Saiga weapons to Beet, making him the strongest Buster ever. But Beet won't just fight the Vandels--he wants to destroy them and finally end the Century of Darkness. The Black Horizon Beet and Poala thought Beltorze was bad--that was until they entered the Black Horizon ruled by the Vandel Grineed. When they're not fighting giant spiders and zombie soldiers, they're facing off with Grineed's most powerful servant, Frausky, a kind of living gun. But it's not all bad news for them. They run into fellow Vandel Buster, Kissu. Good timing. They'll need allies when Grineed's confederates come back for a final attack. But is Kissu really the good friend Beet believes him to be? Or is he a Vandel spy?
I must admit I'm still anxious after the heated battle against Grineed. Too bad he isn't alive for this volume he was my favorite vandel though I must admit Beltorze and the other vandels hunting Beet seem to be just as menacing. I'm also curious about what became of the Zenon warriors. This series seems to be getting better with every volume. I had my doubts about this series but I believe it's a better buy than Inu Yasha which seems to be going nowhere fast! The story is action packed though I think the story's pace could slow down a little so Beet's character could be developed a little more. I have yet to develop an attachment to Kissu and Milfa though they are formidable warriors. I already liked Poala from the very beginning I want to see more of Beet's character and Milfa and Kissu's character development.
great for all ages!

I highly recommend Beet The Vandel Buster. It's the first graphic novel I've read cover to cover. It's a mix of manga and a Rold Playing Game, both of which I love. This is now my 4th favorite manga, the first three being Hikaru No Go, Naruto, and One Piece (all of which I recommend highly by the way). This is definately worth the money. You won't be dissapointed if you like shonen manga (boys comics).
