Brothers Richard and Benny Bellamy have moved into a place that once belonged to their ancestor. Upset over the loss of their father, they're eager to learn more about Bellamy's Bridge and the legends that come with it. Their mother, Arabelle Bellamy, warns them not to go near the bridge, but boys will be boys.
When the youngsters vanish, Arabelle becomes distraught and angry, knowing she lost her boys forever. For ten years, she mourns her sons, until she discovers they have decided to rebuild the bridge. Not long after, they find the bridge on fire and the burned body of Arabelle Bellamy.
