I am understandably prejudiced. This lovely, and very personal book, is by my father about the 17 years he and my mother soldiered through her years with Parkinson's disease with humor and tenderness. As his own health declined, through this book he provided us with a wonderful and insightful "manual" in dealing with chronic disease. Edwin Hayden was a Christian, a scholar, a theologian and a gentleman. We miss him. Anyone who reads the book will know why.
