Jesus the Christ, which was first released in 1915, is the standard Latter-day Saint account of the Savior's life and mission. According to Elder Marion G. Romney, "One will realize that he has significantly enhanced his moving trust in our exalted Redeemer" if they carefully study the text Jesus the Christ by Elder James E. Talmage and get the understanding, the vision, and the spirit of the resurrected Lord. For improved readability, the entire special edition has been re-typeset, and for the first time, chapter endnotes have been placed alongside the footnotes for easy access.
The Book of Mormon-Men who lived on the Americas continent from roughly 600 B.C. to 400 A.D. wrote the Book of Mormon. These were written as proof of Jesus Christ's deity. The revelations included in the Doctrine and Covenants, which were given to Joseph Smith Jr. and other prophets and Church presidents, largely deal with the modern day. The Pearl of Great Price comprises excerpts from Joseph Smith Jr.'s translation of Matthew, his history, The Articles of Faith of the Church, and translations of certain old papyri that provide us with more writings by Abraham and Moses.
