Jenny McGrady meets the Nez Perce Native Americans

Although all the Jenny McGrady books are excellent, "Betrayed" is in a class of it's own. The writing is superb. Patricia's cast of characters are real-to-life, and very believable. And her description of place is fantastic. Not since I read Louis L'Amours' "Haunted Mesa" have I been so compelled to personally visit the scene.Ms. Rushford also does an excellent job of covering Nez Perce Native Americans. Her descriptions make you want to learn more about the Nez Perce tribe, much like Tony Hillerman does for Navajos, and Margaret Coel for Wind River Arapahos. In fact, Patricia's portrayal of the Nez Perce is so vivid, she could easily start a entirely separate series.Do yourself a favor and ignore any snide comments about cliches or worn-out themes--all fiction books recycle themes--this is a first rate and very entertaining story. You don't want to miss out!

This book wasn't as good as the others in the series. It dragged on at times and the ending was basically the same as in all the other books. The plot was good and it was worth my time, though.
