Between The Trees is Kristiana Reed's debut collection of poetry and prose. It follows her experience with depression, loss and love, and explores how she is beginning to evolve as a young woman. The collection was inspired by her view from a train window when she was twenty years old, five years ago. She saw a meadow lit with sunshine and smiled; then she noted the shadows between the trees which lined the edge. She realised the freedom and yellow splendour of the meadow was what she desired most. She realised, however, that she felt stuck in the shadows of the trees. It is her hope this collection will remind readers to have hope themselves and not lose sight of what they desire most.
