I am writing this review because my son loved this book!! He's a non-fiction lover, but this story kept him captivated and he wanted to keep reading every night. We read most of it together. She really captures what a boy that age is feeling about girls, friends and life in general. A wonderful read!!

I am a fourth grade teacher and I read the book Beware of Kissing Lizard Lips as a read aloud to my students. To say we enjoyed the book would be an understatement! My students really related with the main character and the humourous dilemas he encountered in his daily life as a sixth grader. They were able to get a sneak peek at some of the growing pains they will face as they mature in the next few years. We had wonderful conversations about the maturing process. At times we laughed so hard we couldn't continue reading until we caught our breath. The piece de resistance for us was receiving a letter from the author telling us she was coming to visit us on January 30th, 1998. She was responding to letters from my students where they shared their opinions about her book and their requests for her to write a sequel (and of course they asked her to visit our classroom). We highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to laugh and is interested in reading a book about growing up.
