Excellent book on innovative teaching!!!

Don't let the title of this book veer you away from it - as a registered Republican, I at first thought that this would be a diatribe of Liberal brain washing quite the contrary - the book is filled with lesson ideas and suggestions, towards teaching, on how we can better use ethnicity and culture as a strength within the ways we teach, rather than alienating these topics from ourselves and the teaching The book takes race itself, and shows how we can make a curriculum out of it, that is free of bias, non-alienating to anyone, and most of all, creates fun learning environments highly recommended, especially for teachers! HAPPY READING!!!!!

As someone in the field of anti-racist public education, I found this book very useful and thought-provoking. There are background and theory articles, lesson plans, handouts, and a complete range of resources. And all these items are in bite-size articles and excerpts that make them very practical and useful for staff and students. I was thrilled to find this book and even more thrilled to read through it!
