The Bible For Me introduces children to their favorite Bible stories created especially to capture the attention of preschoolers, the Bible For Me presents some of children's best-loved stories from both the Old and New Testaments: Creation, Noah, Birth of Jesus, Loaves & Fishes, and more. The distinctive illustrations in popular cartoon style combined with lively narrative and sturdy construction will make this a treasured book for all preschoolers.
YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK FOR ACCURACY WHEN READING THIS BOOK. IT HAS RAIN STARTING AS NOAH IS GETTING THE LAST ANIMALS ONTO THE ARK. WRONG! RAIN DIDN'T START UNTIL AFTER NOAH, HIS FAMILY, AND ALL THE ANIMALS WERE SAFELY CLOSED INTO THE ARK. GUESS WHO SHUT THE DOOR? GOD DID IT HIMSELF. THE ILLUSTRATIONS ARE CHARMING AND VERY APPROPRIATE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. I LIKE THE MULTIRACIAL FACE TONES OF THE CHARACTERS.
Great Toddler Bible Appropriate for Many Denominations

My two-year-old son and I enjoy reading these Bible stories. I have looked at and tried various toddler Bibles and this one is my favorite. The writing is good and the stories are the perfect length for a toddler's attention span - neither too short nor too long. The fun illustrations can serve as a starting point for further discussions with your child. I think this Bible is appropriate for various denominations as well since the stories are basic introductions.
Wonderful toddler Bible, but incomplete.

This is our favorite toddler Bible to read aloud. The stories are simple but full of meaning and fun. The problem lies in what it doesn't say. The Old Testament choices are very good for such a limited selection. Jesus' birth, boyhood, and sample miracle and parable are also included. But there is no mention of His death and resurrection. There is no presentation of the salvation plan. So we can't recommend this as either your main or only baby Bible. It is, however, a great addition to a child's board book library!
12 Colorful, Well-told Stories
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 21 years ago
As a beginning batch of Bible stories, "Bible for Me" brings a bounty of beautiful pictures and tells 12 important stories for the younger reader. The "Bible For Me" board book is a fine collection of Bible stories. It has a nice creativity to the images, injecting quiet humor when possible. Noah, for example, is seen negotiating with a pair of skunks when boarding the ark. Some things could be improved. In the story about Jonah, the artist neglected to show a picture of the big fish, key to the telling of the story. In fact, the two-page spread with Jonah fighting a storm on the boat is the only inconsistency, emphasizing the drama of the waves. The writing is age-appropriate, though it is certainly meant that will be read by parents and caregivers. "Noah and his sons were as busy as bees. They were building a great big boat for God," begins the famous Noah's story. The other stories are like it. It will a good addition to your young one's bookshelf.
