Biblical Nationhood: The Christian Imperative of controlled borders

From the foreword by Bill Muehlenberg:

"It might be objected that things like nations and borders and walls are simply the result of the Fall, and Christians should have nothing to do with them ... (but) in this current fallen world there certainly is a place for them. There were strict requirements as to who could become a part of God's covenant community in ancient Israel for example. And simply having a need for civil government in this sin-soaked world presupposes things such as boundaries, protections, restrictions, and prohibitions of various sorts. For example, at least two of the Ten Commandments (on theft and coveting) presuppose private property, and things like walls or fences or barriers are part of how such property is kept safe.

The Biblical and theological case for (border controls) ... along with the social and political case, is very nicely made in this helpful book. Pastor Simpson aptly brings together Christian and non-Christian material and arguments to make a solid case for why we must resist the siren calls of the secular and religious left on these matters".

For the last 60 years most mainstream churches have supported the principle of large-scale immigration, and they have also refused to condemn the sinfulness before God of illegal entry into Britain. This is despite the fact that God Himself has ordained nationhood and national borders, and that the Bible clearly teaches the need to maintain the integrity of those borders.

We are in fact witnessing churches degenerating into Bible-ignoring institutions promoting the anti-Christian creed of cultural Marxism, but Pastor Simpson endeavours in this book to set out the Biblical antidote to all the 'wokery' on migration issues which prevails in the U.K.'s national life.
