As I read Birth, I realized everyone can stand to learn a lot from Shari Arison: 1) stay resilient, no matter what others think of you 2) listen to your inner voice 3) always, always give what you can to those in need She tells us how she began, and no- it wasn't as an heiress. She had to earn her father's respect with hard work, just like every one else. After years of unhappiness in her affluent status, she realized it was because material things alone carry no meaning. Birth is about connecting our inner values with the expectations of the outer world, especially the business arena. As a young woman starting out in her career, I learned a lot from Mrs. Arison-- and you will too!
