Houston bounty hunter Dixie Flannigan is a legend in the jails and courtrooms for her combination of brains, cunning, and macho style. But she's about to learn that there are limits to even her... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I really enjoyed Dixie and her way of doing things. I thought the whole thins was very believeable, from the snow storm in South Dakato to the very end. It is the first book I have read in a long time that I wanted to skip and read the last chapter to see how it ended. I started reading and did not want to put it down. Way to go CHRIS ROGERS.

The title of this book intrigued me-had to give it a try. It was a pleasant surprise. Dixie is a delightful character who's tough with a softie side. I had a hard time putting this book down and can hardly wait for the next in this series. I'm hooked on Dixie Flannigan!!
Unable to put-it-down read

"Bitch Factor" was so good, and so believable that I could not put it down! As a former Police Officer (Detective on a Police Force in a Minnesota location), and avid reader, I found this story to be one of the best ever! The character, Dixie Flannigan and her dog Mud, wormed their way into my heart within minutes and I shall be looking for anything written by one of the most talented authors ever! Chris Rogers can be compared to Mary Higgins Clark and all the other terrific writers! "Bitch Factor" gave the picture of a gentle-tough gal, living and working, as a realistic person, and as a good book should, I could put myself in her shoes throughout the story. The snow storm was so realistic that anyone who has lived in the north would visualize themselves experiencing the same. Ms. Rogers shows so much talent as a writer that I am waiting anxiously for her next book, and I hope dozens more, of Dixie Flannigan's experiences.Critics who did n! ot like this story seem to be unable to realize a real life situation and probably live a most sheltered life. "Bitch Factor" shows life as it is, and those of us who have lived close to the edge know the life protrayed as Dixie Flannigan in "Bitch Factor", is what it really is like out there. "Bitch Factor" will be given, by me, to many friends that also love a great read.Keep up the great writing Ms. Rogers. Write for those of us who appreciate a talented, thrilling, suspense, tension filled, humor-packed, adventure.
good reading, memorable characters

Chris Rogers has crafted a fast-moving story with characters who are believable and, in fact, memorable. The dialog is human and the story has just enough turns to keep it interesting. A resident of the Houston area, where the author lives, I attended the book launch and first scheduled signing. The word is that the books went so fast, the publisher's representative was scrambling to meet the demand, commenting this was the most successful first signing she had ever seen. I can't wait to read the next in the series, as much as anything else, to learn more about Dixie.
Great Book and Great Character

This is a story about Dixie (the hot-shot DA turned bounty hunter) and not just a bounty hunter but a bona-fide first class bitch. Although I don't think she is as tough on the inside as she likes to pretend she is. I thought the part where they got stuck in North Dakota in a snowstorm and slid off the road was funny. Dann asked her if she got her drivers license by mail-order. Her dog Mud is really great to. This book reminded me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum but Dixie has a harder edge. I can't wait for Chris Rogers to write her next book. Way to go Ms. Rogers.
