I read this wonderful book to myself the day I got it. I was thrileed and couldn't wait for the next book to come out. It takes place in New York City in 1938 during the Great Depression. jack and Annie have to find a unicorn. But how will they find one in a big city? Finally Jack and Annie find the unicorn, whose name is Dianthus. But just then two teenagers named Balor and Grinda burst in and try and take Dianthus. Jack and Annie escape with the unicorn, and stop in Central Park. There, Balor and Grinda show up, and Annie recites her favorite magic rhyme, Turn Into Ducks. Balor and Grinda turn into ducks. Teddy and Kathleen, Merlin and Morgan, show up and the two other teenagers ride Dianthus home to Camelot. Jack and Annie travel home in the Magic Tree House, and merlin and Morgan take a ride around New York City. For ANY fans of the magic tree house, MAGIC TREE HOUSE #36: BLIZZARD OF THE BLUE MOON, I reccomend you read this wonderful book. You will be so surprised that you read this book over and over again!

My two children think they ARE Jack and Annie. The adventures they have with these books are wonderful. They each like them for different reasons. My son loves the idea of a magical treehouse that takes you to wonderful places but gets you home for dinner safe and sound. My daughter likes how adventurous Annie is and how she can drive Jack nuts with her boldness. You just can't go wrong with these books!

My children (ages 4 and 8) love this series and can not wait to purchase the next in the series. We have read all of the MTH books, but especially enjoy the Merlin Mission series. It is a fast read and my children could not wait until we continued on. There a couple of great twists and as always a fabulous ending. The illustrations are wonderfully done and the story is a great way to talk about ancient history and folklore.
A Very Exciting Book

This book is excellent. If you love Unicorns, and I very much do then you will love this cute adorable book. Mary Pope Osborne has done it again with this fantastic story! You won't be disappointed. This book takes place in a blizzard and it's a excellent time to read a story like this coming into the season. Cynthia Marie Rizzo, author of "Julie and the Unicorn" and "Angela and the Princess"

Blizzard of the Blue Moon is one of the greatest book by Mary Pope Osborne! Jack and Annie to New York City, 1938, during the time of the Great depression. Their mission is to save the very last unicorn to stop the terrible blizzard. They get to know more about the unicorn as they meet Balor and Grinda, the apparintices of the Dark Wizard. Jack and Annie sucess on saving the unicorn at the end. I liked the part they meet Teddy,Kathleen,Morgan, and Merlin and recieve the Wand of Dianthus for proving to Merlin they can use magic wisely and with thought. I highly recomend this book.
