Savannah police respond to a burglary in a blood bank and find a man naked except for the blood covering him from head to foot. Vanishing from a locked jail cell, his fingerprints are linked to a murder fifty years old, where a body was drained of blood. Days later they capture him standing over a young boy's body, the victim's blood smeared over the man's nude body.The man is one of a race called "The Chosen" whose existence is a closely guarded secret.
