Wonderful Cozy Read

"Bluegrass Courtship" is a sweet, cozy read that engrosses your attention throughout. Janet Dean is not impressed when "Missionovation" roles into town with their fancy buses to renovate the church preschool. Having been burnt by a relationship with a charismatic, unscrupulous Christian, she knows that Drew Downing, head honcho of the show, is just another shyster come to call. Though Drew does everything to prove he is above board, godly and honest, Janet won't be fooled? Or will she be? The characters are realistic with foibles; just like me and my small hometown folk. The writing is very good and the plot keeps flowing as you turn the page. This is a lovely treat and the good news is that more are coming to this series and one came before.(Bluegrass Hero) YAY!!!!! You can bet I will be reading them all.

Allie Pleiter is one of my favorite authors, so I have been looking forward to this second book in the Kentucky Corners series. I was not disappointed. This story has fresh, original characters, a unique plot with plenty of twists, bits of humor and moments that touch your heart. All I need to know now is 'when's the next book coming out?'

What a cute story! Bluegrass Courtship was well written, with fun, loveable characters. The way Allie moves the characters from what they start out to be, to how they end up, was amazing. Allie has many wonderful lines that will make you smile. The way she brought Janet back to God, along with Drew coming to his own, was heartwarming, and touching. Don't miss out on this wonderful story that will warm your heart, and renew your love for God and those that have once slipped way from Him. I'll be looking forward to the next, Kentucky Corners in this cute series.
