Book Overview

Henri Lefebvre's magnum opus: a monumental exploration of contemporary society. Henri Lefebvre's three-volume Critique of Everyday Life is perhaps the richest, most prescient work by one of the twentieth century's greatest philosophers. Written at the birth of post-war consumerism, the Critique was a philosophical inspiration for the 1968 student revolution in France and is considered to be the founding text of all that we know as cultural studies, as well as a major influence on the fields of contemporary philosophy, geography, sociology, architecture, political theory and urbanism. A work of enormous range and subtlety, Lefebvre takes as his starting-point and guide the "trivial" details of quotidian experience: an experience colonized by the commodity, shadowed by inauthenticity, yet one which remains the only source of resistance and change. This is an enduringly radical text, untimely today only in its intransigence and optimism.

Great Finish

This books was great, just like the last two. I was a little surprised with some of the twists and turns but never disappointed. Mr. Johnson did a great job in tying up Johnnie's story, that young lady really "lived" her life to the fullest. I loved all three books and have recommended and passed them on to all of my friends. Great story & so different from the norm. These three books are a must have. I will definately...

Lost No More

Johnny Wise, the want-to-be-evangelist returns to finish telling her story. She has again had to put up with rape, murder, name calling and a loss of her money. Johnny still finds a way to stay on top and remain ahead of those who try to get over on her. Although, I hated to see an end to Napolean Bentley as I do believe he cared for Johnny by knowingly putting his life on the line with the Bosses. As Johnny has reached...

He justs gets better & better

KLJ is one of my favorite authors, I have read all of his books and this series was my favorite so far, I am gonna miss them but look forward to what he has in store in the future. Little Black Girl Lost 3 was so good I couldn't put it down. I recommend reading the series in order and buying each and everyone of them.

Keith's done it again

This book is the end to one of the Best Trilogoys I've ever read!! Keith writing is absolutley wonderful!. He really took his time to perfect alot with this story and I for one appreciate all his hard work! Johnnie did lose a bit of the spunk we fell in love with in the first two books! It's worth every bit of the read!

***No Disappointments***

Mr. Johnson I'm not disappointed. This was an excellent sequel-sequel. I remember all the characters from the previous novels and it was nice to be reacquainted with them, and I really enjoyed the epilogue of the book as well. I guess Johnnie and Lucas can finally be together the way they want.
