I would consider this the "Must Have" book for 2009. Through Born to Explore, Wiese does an excellent job bringing exploration back into the lives of the urban/suburban dweller. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to learn some useful survival tools for the outdoors and would especially recommend this for anyone with children or grandchildren. This book offers hours of entertainment...

I would like to make two comments about "Born to Explore". #1 - "Born to Explore" embodies this principle: Live as if were to die tomorrow and learn as if you were to live forever. #2 - The wisest people have taught me that two of the greatest gifts we can give our children are roots and wings. "Born to Explore" teaches both. This book is a must read!

After reading this book with my 15 year old son, there are so many projects we would like to try in our own backyard this summer. This book is like having your own personal Summer Camp Instructor. Richard Wiese has created a Must Have masterpiece. Easy to follow instructions and wonderful graphics!
