There wasn't a kid in America who didn't know who Drake Kirkland was...40 years ago, that is. Thursday nights, right after Dance Fever and before TJ Hooker, the shaggy haired actor--superhero tights and all--was beamed into every living room in America. Now Drake's just another drunken mess signing autographs somewhere in the back, back, back room of Comicon. So when his car gets repo-ed and his long-suffering agent dies, he realizes it's time to wake up and find a way to get paid...for doing absolutely nothing. Airbnb Simple. Back to the booze. But as he reluctantly grows closer to the mother and 9-year old daughter who move into the top floor of his house, he remembers what it's like to have a child look up to him and slowly starts to transform. Tiny things at first, but by the time the wealthy and abusive husband/father shows up with his goons after finally tracking down his wayward wife and daughter, Drake is ready to play the hero. But this time the bullets are real and the stakes couldn't be higher.
