After the bodies of four men had been discovered just outside the desert city of Las Vegas, Sammy Soriano knew that he'd have his hands full over the coming days. Lifelong pal--Tommy Two-Guns Viglierchio was dead, suicide. His was one of the bodies in the burnt out car. The cancer that he'd been battling had become too much and what better place to end it all than one last midnight ride out into the desert to dump the garbage with a pal.Making matters worse, Mickey Bassalini was laid up after a recent by-pass surgery and his kids were flying in to see about the old man.Soriano knew that it wasn't over, far from it. It was only beginning. Three of those bodies were influential Mexican nationals and high-ranking lieutenants in a south-of-the-border drug cartel. The Mexicans had been trying to get in on the action for some time. It wasn't going to happen, but the gentlemen that rode roughshod over the dirty streets of Las Vegas couldn't simply tell them that. Two bags under his arm, the Stick flies out to lend a hand in this hard-hitting, fast-paced, action thriller of a fictional Las Vegas crime syndicate and rival Mexican drug cartel where murder, suicide, dope, broads and booze drip from the pages. Soriano and his new partner have to tread carefully with Mickey in the hospital, his kids in town, the Mexicans looking to settle up and the fat-assed cop--Neff--poking his nose into things. The Mexicans, Soriano and the Stick can handle. The cops...not so much. Ride along as this pair of mobsters do what they can to keep the peace on the streets of this southwestern jewel that never sleeps, where easy money is the name of the game and heartbreak is what Lady Luck is doling out most of the time.Be careful not to get too close as shallow graves litter the desert just west of town and you don't want to find a .45 in your face as you take one last ride with Sammy Soriano.
