Brilliantly stated argument

The premise of George's fantastic book Bridging the Gap is that a disconnect exists between policymakers on one side, and political theorists on the other. George explains why this gap exists and what can be done to bridge it. Not only does George succeed in explaining how it can be done, he also makes a very strong case for why it should be done. George uses the case study of U.S. policy towards Iraq during the late 80's and early 90's to help the reader understand the more theoretical aspects of his argument. Given the fact that Iraq has continued to be a problem for U.S. foreign policy, George's book is all the more relevant. It's also a book that is written with a remarkable sense of balance and pragmatism.
