This book shows readers how to make creative lunches that are healthy and fun. Filled with unique recipes and tips, it shows parents how to get the kids involved, reduce morning stress, stock their... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Brown Bag Success, written by Sandra Nissenberg and Barbara Pearl (both registered dieticians), contains great tips for packing lunches safely, how to make healthy food selections, how to be creative so the lunches will be more fun for your children to eat and how to even get them to help prepare the lunches... as well as a 4-week menu with great recipes! Although I do not feel this book is for the family who doesn't have any trouble packing a great variety of healthy lunches every month, it would definitely be a great help for families (and moms!) who are stuck on packing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with chips and an apple, day after day! It's also for those very special moms who are so busy and have no clue what to pack that they often give in to purchasing those cute little prepackaged lunches that cost a small fortune. Brown Bag Success is a great little book, we're going to try making the homemade tortilla chips next! Also, out of the twenty planned lunches that are featured in the 4-week menu, only a handful of them include peanut butter. If your child is allergic to nuts you can easily substitute items from the other menu suggestions, there are plenty of creative ideas here! - Michelle Jones, Founder of BetterBudgeting.com

This is a must-have book. It will provide you with everything you need: useful, simple recipes that kids will actually eat, simple nutritional information, organizational tips, and tips and tricks for making the meal fun and getting your kids to eat the food you'd like them to eat. Honestly, this book is so practical. It's been the most bang I've gotten for a buck in a long time!

I have been brown bagging lunches for years and thought I had heard it all but I am always open to new idea and this book had them. My kids and I all went through it together and tried each kid's picks. It was fun and it has some really good ideas.

I reviewed 6 different books looking for suggestions on lunch preparation for my 3 year old daughter. The presentation tips, menu planning and recipes I found here helped me to be better equipped to provide nutritious and fun lunches for my daughter. Many times I buy lots of books and take bits from each, this is an instance where one book has all of the information you need to get started.
fabulous find!

This book is part cookbook, part menu guide, part nutritionist, and completely a fabulous find. The book is a great resource for parents who don't think they can make one more peanut butter sandwich. There are great ideas that would please any taste buds, and there are definitely picky ones at my house! There are time saving tips included, as well as a list of items to have on hand to make packing those lunches a little easier. Two of my childrens favorite items are: Flour tortillas with melted cheddar cheese in between, cooled and cut into triangle wedges; and a "sandwich" with cheese and ham rolled and cut into pinwheels! I cannot write enough positive things about this book. It is FAB!
