As a Burmese American who has spent most of my life in the US with several trips back to Burma, and having grown up with Burmese cooking, this cookbook rocks. The flavors are so spot on with just the right amounts of sweet-sour-crunchiness, but with a subtle mellowing that adapts it to American tastebuds. Burma Superstar was also my favorite restaurant when I lived in Oakland and I will say that I was super happy to see that I could recreate some of those amazing dishes at home. Also, what a wonderful story the restaurant owner has, and am so happy to hear that many of the staff are refugees. 100% recommend.
