I really like this book and am glad that I bought it. It has lots of useful ideas for me and I'll be paying close attention to Mr Strauss's suggestions. I've also recently read Untapped Wealth Discovered by Jeff Marquis and Kerry Harrison and this book is extremely different, refreshing, and brings a new approach to the business world. I like this book too and strongly recommend that if you've recently lost your job then read it.
Pretty basic

Good starter book especially if you don't have a business background or education, but if you have those things you may want something a little more robust.
Quite Excellent

The title of this book indeed says it all - in it I found "everything I need to know" about starting a business - and then some! Strauss writes in a friendly, entertaing way that made even complicated subjects (finances, yuch!) pretty easy to understand. Another thing I liked about the book was the section on the "Shoestring Entrepreneur" - how to start and grow a business without a lot of money.Overall, it was very helpful.
