The Buffalo, Union-Carolina Railroad was a short line railroad that ran through Union County SC from around 1900 till the railroad's closing in 1950. The BU-C was instrumental in these construction projects, as well as providing transportation from one end of Union County to the other, about 20 miles, before the automobile, and good roads, came into fashion.
