Whether you're buying or selling your first house or your 10th, this is book to read before you begin! My husband and I have bought and sold several homes and a couple of investment properties over the years. We've read a number of real estate guides, but this one is the best. Well-organized, thorough without getting into the minutiae, and best of all, laugh-out-loud funny. I swear we've lived some of the anecdotes in this book, especially those in the chapter on closings - the author is right, "it ain't over till it's over." This book provided the reality check we needed before putting our house on the market.
An EASY, GREAT read for a hard, terrible process

My husband and I found ourselves in a terrible real estate transaction last month. "Buyers are Liars..." was a godsend. The best part for me was that the last thing I had was TIME to read. We were staging our old house for selling and wading through HUGE problems with the house we were buying. I read this book late one night... a VERY fast but still very helpful read. We were able to go into the rest of the process with more real and helpful information on our side... and the most powerful thing you can have in that process is good information. Thank you, author Richard Courtney.
THE book on buying and selling real estate!!!

This is by far one of the best (and most humorous) books I have ever read concerning the relationships between buyers and sellers in the real estate market. Anyone who is in the market for a new home, or those looking to put their home on the market, should read this before they "make their next deal". Richard seems to cover every scenario from day one to closing! A very easy read, and one that is quite hard to put down!!!
