As a survivor of Calculus I and Calculus II, and I mean that literally, I have nothing but praise for this text. The text is clear and concise. The illustrations are sharp.This text is not as splashy as some texts, but it is very, very competent. The only negative feature of the book, was when I took my MTH141 (Calculus I) class at URI; my professor was Mr. Fraleigh. Unfortunately, when questions arose; the book could not shed a new perspective on the reviewed material.
