In Created to Be God's Friend, Henry Blackaby explored the life of Abraham, and in Chosen to Be God's Prophet, he examined God's work through Samuel. Now in Called to Be God's Leader, readers will see how God applies leadership principles in the life of the great biblical leader Joshua. What did God have in mind when He saw Joshua as a young slave in Egypt? How did He mold and shape Joshua to prepare him for service? Through Joshua and numerous examples from their own lives, the authors create a picture of God's ways, offering deep insight that readers can apply to their own lives. Purpose, Obedience, Faith, Character, and Influence are among the themes that are included in the book; key truths are emphasized at the end of each chapter.
I did not get a chance to read the entire book because someone wanted to read it. I felt compelled to share the book with them----I haven't received it back. I may just buy another one! What I did read was very helpful and enlightening! Lady ReNea

Wonderful book. I had the workbook, from a study I was at, now with the book itself, it makes a perfect devotional study program, or for a church group. It is not a study on just "leadership", it shows what God did the in life of Joushua, and how He will use your gifts, no matter what they may be for His glory! A book worth buying, for spiriutal growth!

This workbook with the accompanying book by Blackaby is a great character study for those called in the ministry to become a Joshua and serve with honor and integrity.

Brings out facts about Joshua and his leadership that can be made an example to us today. Not dull or boring in any way. Stuck to the facts and didn't "make" things fit their agenda. This is an excellent book and I recommend that everyone read it.
One of the BEST books on biblical Leadership

I read this book after I had been made a leader in a number of places in my life. Home, work, Church, all at the same time. For the most part, I failed in each of these areas of leadership. Then I read this book. WOW! I wish I had it prior to my earlier trials. This book has been very practical and has taught me many things I needed to know about my role as a leader, or better put, as God's leader through the life of Joshua. It has changed the way I lead and the way I see leadership. A must for Lay leaders.
