The synopsis gave me high expectations, the concept sounded great. This book had some interesting moments, but overall, I was underwhelmed. For me, the writing was just good, not excellent. The biggest disappointment for me was the way the author chose to handle the resolution of the conflict - I found it a little weak and very lackluster. Not a terrible read, but not one I'd recommend.
