When Phoebe's parents break it to her that she has to go to Camp Bigtree, she's quite upset. Phoebe gets picked on a lot, her last name (Townsend-Fanchon), her weight and build (Feeble Phoebe), and the fact that she's just not in. Her parents send her to camp anyway, and she is made fun of again, because she has Gucci suitcases, English gear at a western camp, flowered sheets instead of a sleeping bag, and safari shorts. She's riding an old nag named Flash, who'd rather take a bath than take Phoebe on a trail ride. But, redemption comes, in a rare form. Read to find out the end of this rather cute-sy story.
