Can’t you sleep little bear was my daughter’s favorite book and now my twin granddaughters love it too! It’s a great book to read. It flows really well and my granddaughters have memorized it but still like to see and hear it.

I read this to my kids when they were little and they both loved it. I recently bought one to send home with my new grandson so he would know it by heart when Grandma read it to him at her house!
Gentle and heartwarming

The story is really gentle and charming with a nice message that is relatable with young children who are starting to want to be more independent. Our 22 month old daughter can relate to all the things the little bear is doing. And the caring relationship with the parent is nicely portrayed. It is illustrated with soft watercolors. The graceful compositions and lighting make the book interesting to look at.
Sleep Tight, Little Bear

Author Martin Waddell and illustrator Barbara Firth have gotten it right again with this, their 7th, Little Bear book. In each book they capture a universal aspect of the parent-child relationship and this one is no exception. It is a timeless and touching tale of love and trust. The illustrations extend the text and add great details for the child to look at while being read to. The DVD interview with Martin Waddell which is included also increased my appreciation for these wonderful tales.
Fun bedtime book

My daughter laughs at Little Bear as he tries all the different sleeping positions. The illustrations are colorful and interesting. As in all of Martin Waddell's books, the text is not too long, nor too short. It is a perfect feel good bedtime book.
A Caring Tale

This book is one of my children's favourites. The illustrations are beautiful and adorable and the writing is exellent in helping children read because it repeats familiar phrases. It is also one of the few books I've read that has a male care-giver with a child and I think it is wonderful. I hope there are many more to come.
