I have been teaching Spanish to preschoolers for the last year. When I read this book, not only did I enjoy the story, I loved the way it was written. Ms. Ciavonne uses Spanish terms throughout the book. She allows the children to figure out what they mean from the context of the story. It also teaches about a tradition from a culture my students were not familiar with. Education through story is great for children. It is a creative, educational, enjoyable book. I would highly recommend it for older preschool children and elementary school children (and ADULTS :-).
