When an astonishing scientific discovery results in the revival of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the entire world becomes a playground and feeding trough to the insatiable, carnivorous creature. Original. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Carnivore, by Leigh Clark, has definently earned itself as one of the fastest paced books I've ever read! There is no such thing as a boring page with this novel, and the action almost never wears out. The plot is simple: scientists in a isolated post in Antartica find a Tyrannosaurs egg, and make it grow faster with the help of nuclear waste. The T. Rex grows quickly, and immedietly starts munching on people. The back of the book says that it's a small group of scientists, but the T. Rex eats like there's no tomorrow, killing more than a hundred people, easily.(Its almost as if the author makes up characters along the way to keep the novel going) I couldn't put this book down, and though it's 311 pages I read in a matter of days. The book is not really scary, the Tyrannosaurs attacks and kills are predictable, and the ending is weak. I expected a big showdown with the survivors and the Tyrannosaurs, but all I got was something worse. Still,(as I said, except for the ending), this is a great book. If you want more dinosaur action read Harry Adam Knight's Carnosaur, which features a variety of different dinosaurs, unlike this book. Still Highly recommended, 5 stars, or a grade: A-.

Carnivore was a guilty pleasure B movie sort of story with all cliches and corny dialogue left intact, if a book has a monster in it I'll read it and it was alot of fun! if not just a little dumb...Popcorn reading
A gourmet's delight!

This was a great book I didn't think it was that predictible. The attacks were kind of predictable, but the suspence was great. Most authors don't put their main characatures in such of a predicament. I loved the book and I thought it as better than Jurrasic park
An excellent book that will either scare or sicken you.

I found this book to be excellent as that I love dinosaurs. I also found it to be quite tense and at times, thrilling. You know what the whole thing is about after the first raid, but along the way Ms. Clark adds a few details that may surprise you. If you like gore, then this is a book for you. I found that the carnage and blood only added to the book's intensity. But if you don't like dinos, blood, or the antarctic, you'd better veer away from this one.
