I purchased this book to read use in Cisco Academy semester five as a compainion to the online material,but ended up using the book more often than the online curriculim. The material is extremly well writen and presented,about as good as can be done with material so technical.I think the authors experience in teaching as well as an english degree really shows.There is more than enough material in this book than youll need to pass the BSCN and with the clearity of the writing style youll really understand it.

Once again after the first two volumes here is Exam #640-503 in a nutshell. This series of books covers, up to now, the most comprehensive coverage of each of the CCNA/CCNP exams it would appear. Sure read around but come back here to pass the exam! I await the fourth book (Semester Six) with eager anticipation.

After reading this book, I consider it an absolute MUST for anyone either taking the Cisco Academy Semester 5 course or studying for the BSCN exam. McGregor thoroughly explains the requisite advanced routing concepts and reinforces them with excellent real-world exercises. This will stay on my desk as a reference long after completion of semester 5!

If you're into the Cisco system then this is the book for you. McGregor has thoroughly covered all of the essential Cisconian theories. I can't wait to go to the 6th semester. I couldn't put it down!
